One question we get a lot is whether the pools are open when you are visiting. The short answer is yes. Paradise Village at Zion runs the two-tier Paradise Falls pools and several hot tubs. The hot tubs and upper pool are heated year round, while the waterfall, slide and lower pool run mid-February through Thanksgiving, and Sunshine Suites has its own private hot tub on the covered patio. So a spring break trip or a chilly fall evening still means warm water. Here is what is open, how close it sits to the house, and what to expect.
The short version
- Paradise Falls pools, two tiers; upper pool heated year round
- Resort hot tubs plus a private tub at the home
- About 100 steps from the house to the water
- Open in winter, not just summer
- Lazy river and splash pad next door at Kid's Cove
Are the pools heated in winter?
Yes. The Paradise Falls pools and the resort hot tubs are heated all year, so the water stays warm even when the desert air turns cool at night. This is the main reason we tell guests the house is a year-round place and not only a summer rental. Spring break, Thanksgiving, a quiet weekend in February, the pool is still part of the trip.
What pools and hot tubs are there?
Between the resort and the home itself, there is plenty of water to go around.
| Feature | Detail |
|---|---|
| Paradise Falls pools | Two-tier resort pools, heated year round |
| Resort hot tubs | Multiple shared hot tubs, heated |
| Private hot tub | On the home’s covered patio |
| Lazy river and splash pad | At Kid’s Cove, about 100 steps away |
Does Sunshine Suites have its own hot tub?
It does. There is a private hot tub on the home’s covered patio, next to the fire pit, so the adults can sit out after the kids are down without walking over to the resort. It is a small thing that guests mention a lot, especially in the cooler months.
How close are the pools to the house?
About a hundred steps. The resort pools and the Kid’s Cove lazy river sit a short walk from the front door, so you are not driving anywhere for a swim. You can read more about the water park on the Kid’s Cove page, and see the whole resort on Paradise Village at Zion.
When are the pools open?
The resort pools keep daytime and evening hours that shift a little by season, so check the posted signs at the pool when you arrive. As a guest of a home inside the resort, access comes with your stay. If exact hours matter for your plans, send us a note before your trip and we will share the current schedule.
