Sunshine Suites is a large-group vacation rental near Zion that sleeps up to 20 guests in six private king master suites, a 7-bedroom, 8-bath whole home at Paradise Village at Zion in Santa Clara, Utah. It’s built for the trips that don’t fit in hotel rooms: family reunions, multi-generational vacations, wedding parties, sports teams, and church or youth groups. Everyone sleeps under one roof, shares one kitchen and one big table, and walks about 100 steps to the resort water park. Here’s who it fits, how it sleeps, and why one house beats a block of hotel rooms.
The short version
- Sleeps up to 20 · 7 bedrooms · 8 baths
- Six private king suites, a bath for each couple
- One kitchen, one big table, eat together
- ~100 steps to the resort lazy river
- From $599/night · about $30 per person at 20 guests
How many people can Sunshine Suites sleep?
Sunshine Suites sleeps up to 20 guests across 12 beds in seven bedrooms. Six of the seven are king master suites, each with its own private bath, so six couples can each have a real room of their own; the seventh is a bunk room that handles the younger crowd. With eight bathrooms total, nobody is waiting in line in the morning, which is the detail big groups notice most. That layout is what makes it work for a reunion, a team, or a church group: maximum privacy with one shared kitchen, one long dining table, and living space big enough to hold everyone at once. At full capacity the cost lands around $30 a person a night, starting from $599, and the resort lazy river and pools are about a hundred steps from the door. Here is how the space breaks down.
| Space | Beds | Sleeps |
|---|---|---|
| King master suites (×6) | 6 kings | 12 adults |
| Bunk room | Bunk beds | Up to 6 kids |
| Whole home | 12 beds | Up to 20 guests |
What kinds of groups stay at Sunshine Suites?
Five group types book us most: family reunions, multi-generational trips, wedding parties, sports teams, and church or youth groups. Here is why each fits.
| Group type | Why it fits |
|---|---|
| Family reunions | Six private suites keep three generations comfortable |
| Multi-generational trips | Grandparents, parents, and kids each get their own room |
| Wedding parties | Room to get ready; minutes from Tuacahn and venues |
| Sports teams & coaches | 12 beds, full kitchen, and laundry for tournaments |
| Church & youth groups | One supervised house with big common areas |
Why is one big house better than six hotel rooms?
For a group of 16 to 20, a single home usually wins on cost, togetherness, and logistics, and after years of hosting reunions we have yet to see a group wish they had split into separate hotel rooms. Hotel rooms scatter your group across floors, rarely include a kitchen, and give you nowhere to gather. Here’s the side-by-side:
| Sunshine Suites (1 home) | 6 to 7 hotel rooms | |
|---|---|---|
| Beds for 20 | Under one roof | Split across floors |
| Private bath per couple | Yes, 6 en-suites | Yes, but separated |
| Full kitchen | Yes | Rarely |
| Shared living & dining | Yes, seats everyone | None |
| Resort pool & lazy river | Included, ~100 steps | Varies by hotel |
| Nightly cost (20 guests) | From $599 total (~$30/pp) | ~$900 to $1,400 (6 rooms) |
What does Sunshine Suites cost per person?
Because the whole home rents from $599 a night, the per-person cost drops fast as your group grows. At 20 guests that’s about $30 per person per night, often less than a single hotel room each. Booking direct keeps it there by avoiding Airbnb and Vrbo service fees; see rates and book direct & save for the full math.
Can a large group cook and gather together here?
Yes, that’s the whole point of the layout. The full kitchen has the cookware to feed 16, and a single dining table seats the group at once instead of splitting you across hotel restaurant tables. Living areas, a covered patio with hot tub and fire pit, and the resort pools give everyone room to spread out and still be together. In our experience, the shared kitchen and one big table are what families remember, the trip becomes meals together, not a scramble to coordinate separate rooms. See the full layout on the home.
