The reason a lot of families pick this house is sitting right outside it. The Kid’s Cove lazy river and splash pad at Paradise Village at Zion are about a hundred steps from our front door, so you can walk the kids over after breakfast and head back for lunch without getting in the car. The pools are heated all year, which is why the house works in spring and fall and not just summer. Here is what to expect at the water park and how close it really is.
The short version
- About 100 steps from the house to the water
- Lazy river plus a splash pad for little kids
- Lazy river runs mid-Feb through Thanksgiving
- No driving, walk back for lunch or naps
- Part of every stay at Sunshine Suites
How close is the water park to Sunshine Suites?
About a hundred steps, which is a one to two minute walk, and that short distance changes how a trip with little kids feels. You are not packing the car, hunting for parking, or rationing one big pool day. You can wander over in the morning, come back when someone needs a nap or lunch, and head out again in the afternoon without it being a production. The water itself is a lazy river plus a splash pad sized for little ones, and the lazy river and slides operate from mid-February through Thanksgiving plus Christmas week, and the hot tubs and upper pool stay heated all year. It is part of every stay at Sunshine Suites, so there is no separate ticket or day pass to buy. For families, that walkable, heated water is the single feature guests mention most. Here is what to expect at the water.
What is at the Kid’s Cove water park?
Three things make it work for families: a lazy river, a shallow splash pad for the smallest kids, and the two-tier Paradise Falls pools nearby, all heated. Here is the quick list.
| Feature | Detail |
|---|---|
| Lazy river | Kid’s Cove loop, easy floating |
| Splash pad | Shallow zone for toddlers and young kids |
| Pools | Two tier Paradise Falls pools; upper pool & hot tubs heated year round |
| Walk from the house | About 100 steps |
Are the pools heated in winter?
The hot tubs and upper Paradise Falls pool are heated all year, and the lazy river, slides and lower pool run from mid-February through Thanksgiving plus Christmas week, so a spring break or fall trip still means pool days. It is one of the reasons we tell guests the house is not just a summer place.
Is it good for young kids?
It is built for them. The splash pad is shallow and gentle, the lazy river is easy to float with a parent, and because you are so close to the house you are never far from a bathroom, a snack, or a nap. Parents get to actually relax, which does not always happen on a trip, and it is the single feature first-time guests thank us for most.
What else does the resort have?
Beyond the water, there are hot tubs and pickleball and volleyball courts on site. The full resort rundown is on Paradise Village at Zion, and everything that comes with the home is on amenities.
